WP leader: ESRF
WP1 aims at managing and coordinating the project to ensure that the objectives are delivered on time. Regular follow-up meetings and annual workshops to ensure progress and results are communicated between participants, observers and the community at large, will be organized. Interaction with all work packages is carried out, while managing change and risk.
WP Leader: ESRF
The general objective of this work package is to enable facilities to ensure their data policies honour the FAIR principles in the way they curate data. All members have committed to adopt an Open Data policy by updating their current data policies while respecting the specific needs of the PaN community, to better align with current understanding of FAIR principles.
WP Leader: European Spallation Source
The overall goal of the work package is to provide an EOSC service that allows users to seamlessly and easily access data from the diverse set of catalogs at the existing facilities. The work package will define a unified API and enable the existing and future services to be used by EOSC through the API.
WP Leader: European XFEL
Data analysis is the process of extracting meaning from recorded data, enabling the transition from measurements to insights and new science. To make raw data usable and re-usable for research, it is critical that data analysis services are provided together with the data.
The objectives of this work package are to make data analysis services available through cloud-hosted services and on the EOSC, by allowing choosing, controlling and executing them remotely, while also supporting traceability, persistent identification, and reproducibility of the data analysis process from raw data to publication data.
ReadWP Leader: European XFEL
This work package aims to promote the access to and integration of simulated data in complex analysis workflows through the set up of state-of-the-art e-infrastructures that provide a flexible simulation framework allowing users to rapidly implement simulation and analysis workflows specific to their facilities, instruments, and experiments. Other objectives include: making simulation data services inter-operable; linking EOSC simulation services to the RI in-house data reduction, analysis and visualization infrastructures; fostering the acceptance and adoption of open standards for data formats and APIs for simulation services.
WP Leader: ILL – Institute Laue-Langevin
The main objective of this work package is to integrate the PaNOSC cluster with EOSC, through collaboration with EOSC-Hub project, and more generally with the e-infrastructures and Research Infrastructures which are jointly contributing to the realization of the EOSC.
WP Leader: CERIC-ERIC
A business plan on how to sustain the data catalogs and services in the Photon and Neutron community and as part of the EOSC will be the major outcome of this work package.
WP Leader: European Spallation Source
This work package foresees the development of an e-learning platform for the PaN user community and for the staff at the partner facilities. Training materials will be developed to promote FAIR principles, as well as to introduce users to the PaNOSC services and capabilities of PaNOSC facilities.
WP Leader: CERIC-ERIC
This work package aims at engaging all project stakeholders in further developing and integrating services into the EOSC, and at ensuring the dissemination and fostering the exploitation of the project outputs and results by all available means.
