Watch the recordings from PaNOSC @ESS-ILL user meeting
On 23 September 2020, PaNOSC took part in the Joint ESS / ILL User Meeting, with the presentation: PaNOSC – Enabling FAIR data and Open Science for neutrons and photons.
In his talk, the project coordinator, Andy Götz, explained what PaNOSC has been doing to enable Open Science, and gave an update on the state of the EOSC. Götz gave an overview of the data analysis services being provided by PaNOSC, and their use for supporting remote experiments in this COVID-19 period. The PaNOSC contribution to extending the McStas simulation software was covered, too, as well as the project’s contribution to standardising data formats and management for neutrons and photons.

The event aimed to provide the opportunity to review the achievements of the user community, present the current status of ILL and ESS and, most importantly, to look forward to the scientific opportunities ahead for neutron science.
