PaNOSC Node joins MyAccessID – the EOSC AAI
The PaNOSC Node and the Photon and Neutron Community made a major step on their journey to being integrated in the EOSC Federation – the PaN AAI (Authentication, Authorisation, Infrastructure) known as UmbrellaID has move to being part of the MyAccessID AAI infrastructue of GÉANT.
This will allow all UmbrellaID users to access to the PaNOSC and EOSC Federation services using their facility identity SSO (Single-Sign-On). This major step forward has been possible thanks to the farsightedness of the people who had the idea to create UmbrellaID as the PaN community AAI many years ago, Jean-Francois Perrin (ESRF) and Björn Abt (PSI) who maintained it over the years and integrated UmbrellaID into MyAccessID, and finally thanks to GÉANT for developing MyAccessID and making it available to research communities like PaNOSC.
PaNOSC is now one major step closer to officially becoming an operational node in the EOSC Federation.
