PaNOSC @EOSC Symposium 2022

Discipline alignment and inter-discipline collaboration: lessons learnt from the clusters LIVESTREAMED

On 16 November 2022, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm CET, in the frame of the EOSC Symposium 2022, PaNOSC will contribute to the session organised by the science clusters on the lessons learnt throughout the implementation of the EOSC cluster projects.

The session will provide an overview of what the science clusters provide to the EOSC and how they work together, and build the bridges between the disciplinary communities. Hot topics on the agenda: converging on Open Tools and Standards; Training platforms and materials; etc.

Live streaming will be available via this EOSC Symposium event homepage.

ABOUT THE SESSION

The Science cluster projects are formed by the European research infrastructures (RIs) and create data spaces, or virtual research environments, within the EOSC to support their scientific user communities. The five Science Cluster projects are organised along the ESFRI working groups: ESCAPE (Astronomy&Particle Physics), ENVRI-FAIR (Environmental sciences), EOSC-Life (Life sciences), PaNOSC (Photon and Neutron sources), SSHOC (Social sciences and humanities).

The five science cluster projects have collaborated closely and produced several white papers, outlining the synergies and the needs of the RI user communities within the EOSC. In this session the science clusters will provide an overview of the outcomes of the projects and describe converging approaches for

  • User access and Research Data Management solutions and support to user communities
  • Supporting scientific software, tools and workflows – helping developers to innovate within EOSC
  • Collaborative solutions for training and people development
  • Science clusters as key enablers of Open Science

AGENDA
